Younger workers will be seeking new job opportunities. Baby boomers will be looking for better opportunities because they must stay on the job longer.
"Boomers have been hit especially hard by the economic downturn and many of us will have to stay in the work force longer than we've anticipated," said Susan Levine, founder of 50somethinginfo.com "People are also living much longer, so we're facing the very frightening reality that we may outlive our money."
Many people may have once relied on automatically retiring at a certain age, people now are working much later in life.
Levine suggests that older workers take advantage of their interests, talents and education, and apply them to addressing the needs of markets that have been under served.
