JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- IT staffing giant Modis continues to tout the hottest cities in the U.S. for tech jobs.
None of the hot cities are in Florida where the company has five offices in Florida includng its corporate headquarters. The company doesn't have office in two other of the hot cities -- Minneapolis, Minn., and Los Agneles.
The company said jobs were available from coast to coast with traditional tech hubs like San Francisco and New York offering growth, but a surprising trend emerged as a number of Midwestern cities including Minneapolis, St. Louis and Omaha also showed an increase in jobs. This shift is likely due to organizations moving their operations to cities with a lower than average cost of living and an educated workforce MOdis said.
